Single Song Collaboration Contract

Published November 5, 2025

This Single Song Collaboration Contract is used when two or more songwriters agree in advance to co-write a song together. It defines each writer’s ownership, administration, and rights before the collaboration begins.

Unlike a simple split sheet signed after a song is written, this agreement clarifies copyright shares, publishing control, and how the composition may be exploited. It can easily be modified for multiple songs or repeated collaborations.

Designed to protect all co-writers, this contract includes optional clauses for joint administration or sole administration by one writer, along with warranties, credits, and collection terms.
