How It Started!
Steve, the founder of SongTakes and a lifelong music creator himself, was building a Spotify playlist of bands he loved when something struck him — many incredibly talented artists had only 100, 200, maybe 1,000 monthly listeners. It didn’t make sense. Their music was great, but the visibility just wasn’t there.
The more he looked, the clearer it became: most independent musicians weren’t lacking in talent — they were just missing the tools and support to promote themselves effectively.
That realization became the spark for SongTakes — a platform designed to help artists not just make great music, but give it the chance it truly deserves to reach the world.
